He also draws on nature for some of his jewelry designs which have a very organic feel During his 14 years in Beverly Hills, California, Michael has created fine pieces of jewelry for many celebrities in the music and film industry, Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks, and the band, Stephen King, Michael Lerner, Michael Keaton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to mention just a few who cherish Michael’s fine work.
Michael's is influenced by the natural and organic flora of Hawaii, Michael’s childhood home. He received most of his training from German platinum smiths in Hawaii where he developed his craftsmanship. Michael’s work is some of the finest in the country. He is nationally and internationally renown for his fine work. His attention to detail and meticulous craftsmanship are rivaled by very few. He does most of his work under a microscope, spending many hours at a time working on a piece smaller than the size of a quarter.
As a Graduate Gemologist, Michael is very in tune to the colors of the gems he uses and tries to get the brightest and boldest colors in his palette for jewelry.he likes bold designs and colors that make a piece visible from a distance; like fine miniature paintings or sculptures. Michael’s work is highly sought after and collected by clients all over the US, Europe, and Asia.
